Eterspire adds toggleable Ironman mode and tweaks mob progression in latest update
Eterspire, the indie MMORPG available on PC and mobile, just rolled out its latest biweekly update, and the headline addition is a new Ironman mode for players who want a more self-reliant challenge. The patch also adjusts enemy balance across the game as part of a broader push to make leveling and gearing feel more deliberate.
Ironman mode is toggleable once you unlock it in-game. Players can talk to the NPC Seraph Steelperson to receive the Ironman Epithet, which then enables the option. The update write-up does not spell out the exact restrictions, so it’s not yet clear how closely it matches the usual Ironman rules seen in other MMORPGs.
On the progression side, regular mobs have been rebalanced to hit harder overall, with the stated goal of making upgrades matter more as you move through content. The update notes that enemy grouping has also been tightened up, which should make grinding less awkward for melee-focused characters.
Rogues are getting a little help too, with a buff aimed at attacks that deal damage to groups of enemies.
Beyond those changes, the post suggests there are additional patch details still to come via the game’s official channels.
