Erenshor’s Rising Shadows update adds guilds, a player hub, and the Reaver class
Erenshor just rolled out its latest update, “Rising Shadows,” adding guilds, a new player hub, and a fresh class called the Reaver. The Early Access “simulated MMORPG” from Burgee Media is also tweaking its SimPlayers and adding Game Masters to handle rules and player communication.
The biggest new system is guilds. Players can now create a guild or join ones that pop up in the world, pushing Erenshor a bit closer to the social structure you’d expect from a traditional MMO.
SimPlayers, the game’s AI-driven stand-ins for MMO-style players, also got expanded dialogue and functionality. You can ask them for practical help like where to find an item or NPC, and they can answer broader questions that function as tutorial guidance.
Another major addition is The Reliquary, a new player hub that acts as a customizable personal space. It’s basically your own base: you can decorate it and upgrade it using things you find, craft, or earn from quests. It also ties into travel, letting you use portal runes to teleport to and from the Reliquary while returning to your original location.
The Reliquary can also host services like auction houses, shops, and banks, and it supports summoning your guild or friends for grouping.
On the class side, Rising Shadows introduces the Reaver, described as a void knight that gains power from taking damage. It brings a stance system to Erenshor, along with fear spells and abilities that trade HP for mana, with different stances supporting DPS, tanking, or utility.
More details, including additional improvements and quality-of-life changes, are available in the Steam notes.
