Entropia Universe previews a revamped crafting UI and plans to remove deprecated blueprints
MindArk has shared the first details of an upcoming Entropia Universe update, and it’s mostly aimed at making crafting less of a headache. The headline change is a redesigned crafting interface that’s meant to give players a clearer view of what a recipe actually needs before they start burning materials.
The new crafting “tree” UI lets you expand each step of a blueprint’s requirements, including inputs that are themselves crafted items. It also highlights what ingredients you already have and what you’re missing, so you’re not stuck bouncing between windows or guessing what’s blocking a craft.
MindArk says the update also improves blueprint sorting, and adds better feedback for mass-crafting runs, including results like successes and failures along with values.
After this patch lands, the studio is also planning an “Operation Clean-up” focused on reducing the number of blueprints and resources cluttering the game. According to the announcement, hundreds of blueprints have become deprecated over the past 20 years, and those deprecated blueprints plus obsolete resources will be removed in the near future, shortly after the patch. MindArk says compensation will be provided to players who still have those items.
More details are in the developer blog post, which also includes a short teaser video. A release date for the patch wasn’t mentioned in the initial info.
