Entropia Universe is getting a $50,000 esports event called Entropia Legends

MindArk is launching a new competitive event for Entropia Universe called Entropia Legends, with a total prize pool of $50,000. It’s being framed as a multi-day championship and will test how well the long-running MMO’s sandbox systems actually work in a more structured esports-style format.

The event will feature three kinds of competition. The first one mentioned so far is a track and field contest, with more details on the full lineup still to come. MindArk hasn’t said much else here yet, so the bigger picture is still a little unclear beyond the basic setup: multiple event types, cash prizes, and a push toward organized competition.

That’s a notable shift for Entropia Universe, which is better known for its real-cash economy and player-driven progression than for formal tournament play. The game has had competitive elements for years, but this looks like a more direct attempt to turn that into a spectator-friendly event with clear winners and a sizable payout.

Keep in mind though, Entropia Universe isn’t a game that you can actually get into for free. Downloading and logging in is free, but buying equipment costs real money.
