Enshrouded Leaves Early Access With 1.0 Launch and Full Embervale Map
Keen Games has launched Enshrouded 1.0 today, October 15, bringing the survival action RPG out of Early Access and opening the full map of Embervale.
The big addition is Cinder’s Cradle, a new northern region past the gates beyond Veilwater Basin. It’s split between a lava-scarred wasteland full of ancient ruins and floating islands raised by the Ancients, with new creatures, architecture, and guardians to deal with. The update also adds new areas around the edges of the Springlands, Blackmire, and Kindlewastes, plus more Shroud roots for extra skill points.
Enshrouded’s main story also reaches its current conclusion in 1.0. Players can now push into previously locked structures in older biomes, uncover more about the Ancients and the Shroud, and face what Keen Games describes as the Shroud’s strongest champion.
Progression has been expanded as well. The player level cap is now 50, gear can be upgraded to level 55, and the Flame Altar can reach level 15 through a new Flame Level, with another unlock tied to defeating the final threat. There’s also a new survivor focused on Ancient knowledge, along with a fresh crafting tier covering equipment, tools, food, arrows, spells, furniture, building pieces, and plants.
Other notable additions include two new Hollow Halls, one in the Albaneve Summits and one in Veilwater Basin, and full voice acting for lore notes, letters, and books in English, German, and Mandarin Chinese. Main crafting survivors and major quest-giving survivors are voiced too.
The 1.0 update also introduces Sparkworks, a logic system that lets players build things like switches, traps, puzzles, enemy encounters, parkour courses, arenas, and escape rooms in their worlds. Keen Games says a new brick renderer improves terrain detail and long-distance views. Existing saves will carry forward, though skill trees will be reset.
