Eldegarde launches on Steam after Early Access, bringing six classes and multiple PvP modes

Eldegarde, the action “mini-MMO” RPG formerly known as Legacy: Steel & Sorcery, has officially left Early Access and launched in full on Steam. The 1.0 release includes six playable classes and a mix of PvE, PvPvE, and straight PvP options depending on how sweaty you want your runs to be.

At launch, the class lineup sticks to familiar fantasy roles: Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, Priest, Wizard, and Paladin. Each class has its own weapons and abilities to level up, and Notorious Studios says a seventh class, the Witch, is planned for a future update.

Combat is the main draw here, and the game’s modes are built around that. You can run PvE Expeditions solo or with a friend, jump into a PvPvE Extraction Mode, or queue up for Arena matches if you just want PvP without the extra objectives.

Outside of missions, progression leans on vendors and crafting. Vendors unlock gear, recipes, and rare materials as you build reputation, while a personal lodge acts as another long-term progression track tied to crafting and upgrades. The game also includes 17 campaign questlines and more than 110 rotating daily quests, according to the launch details.

Eldegarde is buy-to-play and includes cosmetic microtransactions. It’s also set up for seasonal content, with “Seasons” that reset progress while adding new content and events. The rename to Eldegarde and the 1.0 launch plan were only announced recently, following an Early Access start in February 2025.
