Eclipse: The Awakening Passes 1 Million Pre-Registrations Ahead of September 10 Launch

Smilegate says Eclipse: The Awakening has passed 1 million pre-registrations, with PC pre-download set to open at 12:00 p.m. KST on September 8. Mobile pre-download follows on September 9, and the MMORPG officially launches at 12:00 p.m. KST on September 10.

Players on PC will need to download the STOVE launcher first, then grab the game client from the official Eclipse website once pre-download opens. Pre-registration is still available until launch, and the 1 million milestone adds extra rewards on top of the existing sign-up bonuses.

Those rewards now include five additional transcendence summon tickets, five additional weapon appearance summon tickets, and 1 million gold. That’s in addition to the previously announced growth-support items, including rare-grade weapon appearance summon tickets and transcendence summon tickets.

Smilegate also used a September 5 launch preview stream to show more of what Eclipse is actually offering at release. The broadcast included a new trailer and gameplay for Skill Fusion, Authority progression, boss competition and loot, High River Battlefield, and inter-server matchmaking.

Eclipse is being pitched as an “MMOLite,” keeping the character growth and combat loop of an MMORPG while trying to reduce some of the daily pressure. Sanctuary content grants summon tickets and progression currency over time, and an AI mode can keep characters progressing while players are offline. The game also supports PC and mobile cross-play, plus up to two PC clients running at the same time.

On the systems side, Authority appears to be one of the main progression pillars, unlocked by combining six Stigmata with Relics of the same grade. Boss spawn times and locations will be visible through the map schedule, while Abyss Bosses turn their regions into PvP zones while active. Post-launch plans include five-player co-op boss fights, guild mission-based server competition, and sieges later on.
