Diablo Immortal’s Spawn Crossover Starts September 29 With Malebolgia Boss Fight

Diablo Immortal is crossing over with Spawn for a limited-time event running from September 29, 2026 after maintenance until November 1, 2026 at 2:59 AM. The collaboration brings Spawn-themed rewards, a modified Survivors Bane-style activity called Hellspawn’s Bane, and a co-op fight against Malebolgia in The Eighth Circle.

The event centers on earning Vengeance Marks through weekly tasks and crossover activities. Those marks unlock collaboration rewards, including Spawn-inspired weapon skins, emotes, a Hellspawn avatar frame, Legendary Crests, Legendary and Set equipment, and the 1-star Necroplasmic Totem Legendary Gem.

  • Hellspawn’s Bane is a limited-time version of the horde survival mode with Spawn-style powers, including chains, a living cloak, and necroplasm attacks.
  • The Eighth Circle lets up to four players fight Malebolgia, with daily time goals, ranked rewards, and bonus points tied to performance.
  • Players who earn MVP four times in a party of three or more can claim a unique cosmetic reward.
  • The Violator also appears as a familiar transmogrification with a shapeshift trait.

The Necroplasmic Totem Gem adds a damage-focused effect: dealing damage can surround the player with Necroplasm, boosting damage for a short time. It can also consume a periodic harmful effect, or trigger after a kill, to fire a bolt that explodes and burns nearby enemies. The effect has cooldown limits.

Blizzard says this is only the first look at the Diablo Immortal x Spawn event, with full patch notes planned for September 28. The event will be available in Diablo Immortal, the free-to-play action RPG on mobile and PC.
