Corepunk rolls back servers after duping exploit tied to patch 0.96
Corepunk players just got hit with the kind of bad news nobody wants: a server rollback. Developer Artificial Core confirmed it reverted servers to a point before patch 0.96 went live, after a duping exploit cropped up following last week’s economy update.
According to the Discord post about patch 0.96, the update included a crafting change that let players use higher-quality recipes to create standard crafts multiple times. That apparently opened the door to item duplication, with the studio pointing to Tier 3 Alchemy recipes as a specific problem area.
In a follow-up Discord message, the team also mentioned a related exploit involving upgrade kits for Alchemy recipes.
Artificial Core says those exploits have now been closed. Still, it decided a rollback was necessary, and it reset servers to before 0.96’s deployment, which happened this past Saturday. The studio framed it as not a massive rollback, but it does mean some player progress made after that point is gone.
