Chrono Odyssey devs outline combat and progression changes ahead of its 2027 launch
Chrono Studio has shared another small update on Chrono Odyssey, this time focused on a few gameplay systems still in development. The studio says the MMORPG is getting changes to combat, progression, and general game flow as work continues toward its current 2027 release window.
The news came through a social media post rather than a full feature breakdown, so details are still fairly light. From what was shown, the team is adjusting core systems instead of announcing a new test or release date. If you were waiting for hands-on news, this isn’t that. It’s more of a status check on where some of the game’s design work is headed.
Chrono Odyssey is an Unreal Engine 5 online RPG from Chrono Studio and publisher Kakao Games, built around large-scale fantasy zones, action combat, and time-manipulation mechanics. It’s been on players’ radar for a while, but the long gap to launch means these smaller development updates are likely what fans will be getting for now.
The studio hasn’t pinned down exactly when players will see these system changes in action. For now, the big confirmed point is that Chrono Odyssey is still targeting 2027, even if that date remains a ways off.
