Camelot Unchained’s Fall Roadmap Refocuses on RvR, Level Caps, and Siege Testing

City State Entertainment has outlined its autumn roadmap for Camelot Unchained, with the team shifting its near-term focus toward realm-vs-realm progression, combat cleanup, and siege testing. The September 1 production roundup says the studio is moving on from its recent new-player experience work and back toward the game’s core loop: giving players more reasons to fight over contested territory.

The current level cap is 10, but the studio says future progression beyond that point will push players out of safe home areas and into conquest. Higher levels are planned to bring bonuses and customization points, with the goal of giving characters more ways to specialize both in and out of combat.

  • Higher character level caps are planned, tied to activity outside home realms.
  • Combat improvements are coming “very soon,” including a better combat log, more responsive movement, and improved ability queue timing.
  • Crafting and realm control are being positioned as bigger parts of the RvR loop.
  • The King’s System, expanded world objectives, random events, and more classes are still on the roadmap.
  • Siege weapons return to internal testing in September, starting with one or two weapons and siegeable doors.

Siege is the biggest concrete item for September. The team says it’s starting with internal tests for a “proper siege,” then expanding to player testing if things go well. Later in the fall, the plan is to add destructible wall sections and more siege weapons.

The studio also noted that older siege functionality from C.U.B.E. is not being reused. The current siege tech is being built from scratch, so players should expect it to arrive in pieces rather than as one complete system.

Camelot Unchained remains in Early Access, and the team framed the rough edges as part of its current release approach. Instead of holding major features for larger, less frequent drops, it plans to keep pushing work-in-progress builds and collecting feedback from backers and Steam players during weekend testing.
