Camelot Unchained opens Early Access weekend with mob loot and progression tweaks
Camelot Unchained is running another Early Access weekend, and the latest update gives testers a few more practical things to do and earn. The big additions are small loot drops from certain enemies, adjustments to crafting and gathering progression, class progression tweaks, and visual work in Yggdra Forest and Silvermine Mountains.
The loot change is pretty modest for now, but it’s notable because enemies can finally drop some basic items and resources. Bandits, zombies, goblins, trolls, and other mobs may now hand out things like silver nuggets, salt, coal, stringy meat, herbs, cod, and garlic.
Unchained Entertainment says it’s still working through pacing feedback, especially around early leveling feeling slow. Some planned systems aren’t in yet, so this update adds interim changes meant to smooth out the leveling curve. Longer term, the team is planning leveled resource nodes, better yields, higher-quality resources, and more nodes around points of interest.
The developers also want the first five levels to move faster so players can reach more class abilities sooner. There are additional class changes in this build, along with bug fixes and other smaller adjustments.
On the visual side, Yggdra Forest and Silvermine Mountains have been touched up to feel less empty, with more signs of occupation and some terrain changes aimed at making fights a bit more varied. Full details are available in the patch notes.
