Blue Protocol: Star Resonance details Season 3 Echoes of Ember, new Twin Striker class arrives May 28
Blue Protocol: Star Resonance is kicking off Season 3, Echoes of Ember, on May 28, 2026 after maintenance. The update adds a new seasonal system built around Echo Residue and Illusion-Breaking Strength, opens a fresh batch of dungeons and areas over the following weeks, and introduces a new melee class called Twin Striker.
The broad setup is pretty simple. While fighting in the new season, players build Echo Residue, then cash it in for an Exaltation Anthem buff. Season 3 also adds Illusion-Breaking Strength, a stat that directly affects damage dealt, healing, and damage taken against Ember season enemies. Older seasonal content is getting easier too, with damage against previous-season wild monsters and raid bosses doubled.
Twin Striker is the headline class addition. It uses Dual Axes, scales with Strength, and comes with two specs: Formless Expertise and Crimson Expertise. One leans on building Formless levels to cut cooldowns and stack extra hits, while the other uses a Crimson Soul Gauge for buffs, self-healing, and sustained area damage.
Season 3 content will roll out in stages. New Unstable Space and Chaotic Realm dungeons start unlocking on May 28 with Cursed Radiant Tomb, followed by Mech Facility on May 30, Void – Tina’s Mindrealm on June 2, Mistveil Hunting Ground on June 5, Void – Towering Ruin on June 8, and Sea-Ringed Reef on June 11. New zones also open over time, with Sunset Wilds available at launch, Sunken Corridor on June 15, and Gloomy Depths on July 6.
The new raid is Field of Forgotten Illusions, featuring Paradox-Calamity Remnant as the Season 3 boss. The update also reworks older 20-player raids, folding Season 1 and 2 difficulties into a single Backtrack mode with reduced difficulty and solo or party access.
There are a few notable gear changes as well. Maxed-out gear can no longer be reforged endlessly, but players can now use specific items to manually pick certain reforge or rare effects. Season 3 also adds loot-class selection, letting players target drops for an unlocked class of their choice instead of the one they’re currently playing.
Elsewhere, the Ember Pass I runs from May 28 through July 7, the Season Store is refreshed, and a limited-time skill reset event will run until July 27. Smaller system changes include a fifth Module slot, new life skill masteries, and automatic guildmaster transfer for inactive guilds.
