Blue Archive Adds Niko, Kurumi, New Story Chapters, and Lore Pursuit Event

Blue Archive has a new update out now on Steam, iOS, and Android, adding two recruitable 3-star students, new Act 2 story content, and a limited-time event story called Special Mission: Lore Pursuit.

The Lore Pursuit event runs from August 18 after maintenance through August 31 at 6:59 PM PDT. Players can take on battles, episodes, quests, challenges, shop tasks, and a clue hunt, with rewards including Artifacts and General Blueprint Raffle Boxes. Clearing the Aburacho Central Road Quest also unlocks Otogi, a 1-star student.

• Niko is a 3-star Explosive-type Support from SRT Special Academy’s FOX Squad. Her EX Skill removes harmful effects from one ally and gives allies in her circle an EX Skill damage increase buff.
• Kurumi is a 3-star Explosive-type Tank, also from FOX Squad. Her EX Skill gives her a Tactical Shield that can regenerate when hit, with part of the shield converting into HP when the effect ends.
• The update adds Act 2’s prologue, which starts with a strange black-and-white photo in the General Student Council’s records and a version of Kivotos where the color has drained away.
• Act 2 Vol. 0 Chapter 1, A Spring Day Full of Almond Blossoms, focuses on Rin, Sensei, and the General Student Council before a new mystery hits Kivotos.
• Act 2 Ex. Lore Pursuit Chapter 1, High Noon Haze, ties FOX Squad into the event story as the students investigate clues connected to local urban legends.

Blue Archive is Nexon’s free-to-play anime RPG where players act as Sensei, an advisor to SCHALE, while handling incidents across the academy city of Kivotos. The game is available worldwide on mobile and Steam.
