Blizzard shows Overwatch hero Sierra and 12 minutes of Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred

Blizzard has put out two new video previews this week, one for Overwatch and one for Diablo IV. On the Overwatch side, the studio has officially revealed its next hero, Sierra, with an animated trailer. For Diablo IV, Blizzard shared the first 12 minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Lord of Hatred expansion, which is still set to launch on April 28.

Sierra’s reveal doesn’t get into full gameplay details yet, but the trailer does show a few clear hints about her kit. She appears to move by swinging with the help of a small robotic bird, and she uses a plasma assault rifle that can tag enemies with a tracker so shots home in afterward. That’s the broad outline for now, since Blizzard hasn’t gone much deeper in the video itself.

The Diablo IV footage is a more straightforward early look at the expansion’s opening stretch. It shows players stepping into Lord of Hatred for the first time, though Blizzard still isn’t giving much story context away. If you’re trying to go in fresh, this is probably one to skip until release.

Neither preview comes with a big info dump attached, so for now this is mostly about getting eyes on what’s next. For Overwatch players, that means a first proper look at Sierra before the usual gameplay breakdowns arrive. For Diablo IV players, it’s a spoiler-light peek at the expansion’s opening minutes ahead of the April 28 launch.
