Blizzard shows off Midnight’s rebuilt Silvermoon City hub, including Horde-only areas

Blizzard has shared a closer look at Silvermoon City as it’ll appear in World of Warcraft: Midnight, confirming the rebuilt Blood Elf capital will act as a shared hub for both Horde and Alliance. Not all of it, though. About one-third of the city is marked as Horde-only space, while the remaining two-thirds is open to both factions.

According to the official post, the new version of Silvermoon is designed as the main staging ground as players push back Xal’atath’s forces, with the city laid out into distinct districts and packed with the usual hub essentials.

The big takeaway for day-to-day play is convenience. Blizzard’s map and location rundown calls out where you’ll find core services like the bank, auction house, inn, profession trainers, crafting orders, portals (including Orgrimmar and Stormwind), the Catalyst, and Delves-related NPCs. There are also multiple ways to get around vertically, including orbs of translocation, mounts, and carriage rides. If you’re lost, guards can point you in the right direction.

A few named areas Blizzard highlights include the Sanctum of Light (where quests start and where a scouting map helps route campaign progress), The Bazaar (a dense services area), Murder Row (a shadier district with vendors and a dungeon entrance tied to a quest), and Thalassian University (which includes a Delve called “Collegiate Calamity”).

For Alliance players who wander into restricted zones like the Royal Quarter, Walk of Elders, Court of the Sun, Court of Blood, or the Royal Exchange, Blizzard says you’ll get a warning before guards turn hostile and push you back into neutral territory.
