Blizzard sets four franchise spotlight streams and releases a 35th anniversary mini-documentary

Blizzard is marking its 35th anniversary with a new mini-documentary and a short run of “spotlight” livestreams focused on its current big franchises. The streams roll out between January 29 and February 11, with dedicated broadcasts for World of Warcraft, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Diablo.

The video, titled Blizzard: The Next Chapter, is out now and looks back at the studio’s history using items pulled from its physical archives. Blizzard frames it as a retrospective of major moments and releases from the past 35 years.

On the livestream side, Blizzard says each show will be a developer spotlight for its respective game, with the Diablo stream also doubling as a 30th anniversary spotlight for the franchise.
