Black Desert Online Wraps Current PvE Balance Pass, Adds Tougher Songakshi Fights
Black Desert Online’s latest update closes out Pearl Abyss’ current round of PvE balance changes, with adjustments for Warrior, Valkyrie, Ninja, Striker, and Corsair. The studio says it’ll keep watching how the recent changes land in actual play, so this may not be the last word on class balance.
The patch also adds Calamity 9 and 10 difficulties for Songakshi, the Donghae solo Black Shrine boss from Land of the Morning Light. Pearl Abyss says players should expect a challenge in line with the higher-end Duoksini and Oduksini fights, with new mechanics to learn rather than just bigger numbers.
Olvia Academy Class 2 is getting more time, too. Enrollment now stays open until July 23 before maintenance, quest acceptance runs until July 22, and the class period itself has been extended to July 30. Good news if you were behind or hadn’t signed up yet.
A few quality-of-life changes are included as well. Character notes now show on the character selection screen and exit game UI, and selecting another character from the View Family Characters screen will display that character’s inventory. Some Atoraxxion reward boxes also have new opening animations.
Events are part of the update, including Blessing events, Hot Time, the return of Terrmian Beach, and an AMD partnership tied to the upcoming Heidel Ball in California on July 25. Full class details and patch specifics are available in the official patch notes, while the Heidel Ball promotion is outlined in Pearl Abyss’ event post.
