Black Desert Mobile remaster update raises the frame rate cap and reworks seasons

Pearl Abyss has rolled out a big remaster update for Black Desert Mobile, focused on three main areas: graphics, UI, and seasonal progression. The most noticeable change is on the visual side, with upgraded environmental effects like rain puddle reflections and better visibility for distant NPCs and monsters. The update also adds support for up to 120 FPS, up from the old 60 FPS cap.

The other major change is how seasons work. Seasonal content no longer has a time limit, so players can keep progressing at their own pace even after a new season starts. Pearl Abyss also expanded the Adventurer Progression Log to help newer players reach around 60,000 Combat Power faster, and added a Season Plus option that speeds up quest progression by advancing an entire category after the first quest is accepted.

The UI has been reworked too. The main screen has been reorganized around commonly used features, with less clutter and easier access to frequent menus. Players can now customize the menu bar and adjust some UI elements, while the side menu has been regrouped to make navigation a bit cleaner. Pearl Abyss says more UI updates for systems like inventory and enhancement are planned later.

A couple of gameplay systems also got touched up. The Martial God Tournament now protects players in certain ranks, from Brawler to General, from being demoted to lower tiers. Matchmaking also now includes a class ban option, letting players exclude up to two classes. On top of that, the new Great Library of Calpheon lets players pick up Adventure and Academic Knowledge by reading up to 20 books a day, while players who have already finished that knowledge can trade it in for Silver.

The update comes with the usual batch of in-game events, including login rewards, special missions, and a Black Spirit and Ladders event. There are also community events tied to screenshots and custom UI layouts, with items like Restoration Scrolls and Black Pearls up for grabs.
