Black Desert Global Lab adds Treasure Codex and easier ship bartering
The latest Black Desert Global Lab update adds a Treasure Codex, new La Orzeca Landscape Paint options, and a batch of quality-of-life changes aimed mostly at ocean travel and bartering. As usual with Global Lab, these changes are being tested before they move to the live servers.
The Treasure Codex is the headline addition. It gives players an in-game place to check treasure items, required materials, where to get them, and how to craft them. Completed treasures show their original completion date, including treasures finished before the official server update, and the UI can open Yaz’s Combination Pouch with the required materials already slotted if you have everything.
- La Orzeca Paint can now drop in several monster zones tied to Kamasylvia and O’dyllita, including Ash Forest, Olun’s Valley, Tunkta, Thornwood Forest, Crypt of Resting Thoughts, and Dehkia’s Lantern versions of several of those zones.
- Hermesia Inner Castle has been removed from the top-tier monster zone list. Some drop rates there are going up, including Twilight of the End accessories and BON materials, but top-tier-tagged items like Refined Origin of Hunger and several Primordial Pigments and Lusters will no longer drop there.
- Older Leveling Aid quests are being removed because HYPERBOOST now fills that role. Quests already in progress can still be completed.
- Barter and Great Ocean play should be less clunky. Players on large ships can use several wharf functions without disembarking, including quests, shops, repairs, resupply, crew management, and cargo loading.
- Barter routes now show distance, and the Barter Information UI has a button for setting navigation to a nearby village or wharf.
- Ship auto-navigation has been adjusted to avoid some awkward routes and terrain snags.
The patch also adds a shared “Common Skill” for all classes. It has the same animation and effects across characters, knocks down monsters, and can dismount other adventurers. The notes say Pearl Abyss is still working on making it more useful in PvP.
There are plenty of smaller fixes too, including Hermesia quest and monster issues, Fairy appearance and skill problems, hunting and gathering reward bugs, Pad Mode UI issues, and assorted manor, guild, quest, and inventory fixes. One notable compensation-related note says players affected by missing tanning drops for Crystal of Dawn and Crystal of Clearness will receive a bundle based on records from after August 27, 2025 maintenance through before September 22, 2026 maintenance.
