BitCraft’s Early Access 2 starts Feb. 26 with optional XP reset and a lower price

Clockwork Labs is moving BitCraft from “Early Access 1” to “Early Access 2” this week, and it’s trying to clear up the lingering confusion around what does and doesn’t get wiped. According to the official post, the switch happens on February 26 after a 24-hour downtime that starts February 25 at noon EDT.

The big point: when EA2 goes live, you’ll be able to either start fresh at level 1 with wiped experience, or keep the experience you earned in EA1. Either way, Clockwork says your premium cosmetics, currency, titles, and drops will carry over as copies.

There’s also a window to reclaim your reserved name and empire name, running through March 27.

One wrinkle: because the studio adjusted the experience curve for EA2, your level might not line up exactly even if you keep your XP. Clockwork says experience gain will be faster in EA2, so progression should move quicker going forward.

Looking further out, the studio reiterated that a full 1.0 launch will include a true fresh-start world, but it didn’t attach a date. It also says the EA2 server will stick around after 1.0 and continue getting updates in parity with the fresh world.

EA2 also comes with a price cut. BitCraft is dropping to $15.99, and it’ll be $7.99 at EA2 launch. Clockwork notes that the new package won’t include any currency.
