BitCraft Online Marks One Year in Early Access, Anniversary Update Coming June 25
BitCraft Online has hit its first anniversary in Early Access, and Clockwork Labs says an anniversary update is coming on June 25. The studio shared a brief message in its Discord over the weekend thanking players who have stuck with the community sandbox MMO through its first year.
The update itself is still mostly under wraps. Clockwork Labs hasn’t detailed what’s included yet, so for now the confirmed bit is the date. Given BitCraft’s Early Access 2 wipe back in February, though, the team has already shown it’s willing to make big changes during development.
BitCraft Online launched into Early Access on Steam last year after what the studio described at the time as a rough start in a Steam post. Since then, the game has continued building around its main hook: one shared persistent world where players gather, craft, trade, build settlements, and reshape the wilderness together.
The anniversary also comes not long after Clockwork Labs said BitCraft Online had passed 100,000 units sold in Early Access. For a sandbox MMO built around long-term worldbuilding and player cooperation, the next update should give current players a clearer idea of where the second year is headed.
