BitCraft Marks One Year as Corepunk Resets for Season 2 and A Township Tale Sets Shutdown Date

BitCraft hit its first anniversary this week, with a patch that went live on the 25th adding new gameplay loops, cosmetics, and bug fixes. According to the anniversary patch notes, the update is live now, and the MMO is also 50% off on Steam through July 9.

Corepunk also had a bigger reset moment. Its Great Reset happened Thursday ahead of Season 2, wiping character progression while letting players keep earned cosmetics, pets, and mounts. Corepunk’s post also says two new “intelligences,” the Game Master and the Assistant, will wake in Season 2.

There was some bad news in the indie online space too. A Township Tale, the co-op VR game that’s been around the scene for years, is shutting down on July 20.

  • Foxhole posted its Update 65 preview and updated roadmap, with the smaller patch aimed at iterating on features added in Airborne.
  • Villagers & Heroes launched Patch 5.70, Season 12 of Raids: Talons Grip, with auction house improvements, mount adjustments, whisper changes, and bug fixes.
  • Embers Adrift’s June patch is live on Steam, adding rested experience and a Personal Gathering Stash in Newhaven City banks.
  • Broken Ranks outlined work on its guild system, a low-level boss instance, and a new level 100-plus region with its own boss instance.
  • The Quinfall’s open beta version is now available through the Steam Beta Branch, with graphics, performance, resource usage, and memory changes listed among the improvements.
  • Past Fate’s Patch 0.6.2.0 is live, making enemies more dangerous and opening the Depths of Korag.

Elsewhere, Project Gorgon added new content, systems, and rendering changes, Hollowed Oath moved to Unreal Engine 5.8, and Hytale’s latest pre-release notes added Mage Towers, items, and creative tools. A busy week, but those are the bits most players are likely to notice first.
