BitCraft kicks off Early Access 2 with a big patch and a launch-week discount

BitCraft Online has moved into its “Early Access 2” phase after a 24-hour downtime, and it’s already pulling in more players on Steam. According to SteamCharts, concurrents climbed to nearly 2,000 shortly after the new phase went live.

Alongside the rollout, Clockwork Labs pushed a sizable EA2 patch with changes aimed at smoothing out the early hours and rebalancing some core progression. The full list is up in the patch notes.

On the buying side, the price has dropped to $15.99, and there’s a launch-week discount that brings it down to $7.99. One important catch: the purchase no longer includes the in-game currencies that were previously bundled.

As for what’s actually new in EA2, the patch includes a revamped set of onboarding quests for different professions and skills, plus account-related tweaks. It also adds new structures, overhauls the Empire, rebalances tools, and adjusts the experience curve. There’s also mention of what sounds like a new quest in Starfell.

Existing owners have a choice to make, too. Clockwork Labs put out a (very real) flowchart earlier this week to help players decide whether to wipe their character or start “fresh-ish,” and it’s also a reminder to reclaim character names.

On Steam, the game’s user rating is still sitting in the “Mostly Positive” range. Recent complaints tend to focus on the crafting grind and the slower, cozy pace, with the optional wipe also popping up in newer reviews.
