Arknights: Endfield Shows New “Back to the North” Trailer at IGN Live
GRYPHLINE showed a new “Back to the North” trailer for Arknights: Endfield during IGN Live this weekend, giving players an early look at the game’s next update. The trailer brings back Arcane, captain of the Yinglung Special Task Force, and teases more story content tied to Endfield’s industrial sci-fi frontier.
The publisher says the update will push further into the game’s world with new narrative developments, combat encounters, and character-focused content. Specific release timing wasn’t shared in the announcement, so for now it’s more of a preview than a full update breakdown.
Arknights: Endfield is the next major game in the Arknights universe, but it shifts away from the original mobile game’s tower-defense structure. Endfield is built around exploration, real-time squad combat, and base-building, with the series making the jump to PC and console for the first time.
The original Arknights has passed 100 million downloads, so Endfield is a pretty big expansion of the IP’s reach. “Back to the North” looks like GRYPHLINE’s next step in showing how that world is being stretched into a larger, more action-focused RPG format.
