ArcheAge Chronicles Network Test Set for September 12 in the US and Canada
ArcheAge Chronicles is getting a short network test for Steam players in the United States and Canada, with the test window running from September 12 at 7 p.m. EDT to September 13 at 1 a.m. EDT.
The test is mainly meant to put the game’s servers under load and check network stability, so players shouldn’t expect a broad look at the full game. The available build will focus on a limited slice of early-game content, and the team says some features may be missing or unfinished.
Players who want in can head to the Steam page and hit the “Request Access” button. Access isn’t guaranteed, though. Participants will be picked randomly from the pool of players who request entry.
A pre-download will be available before the test begins, which should help avoid last-minute download problems once the servers open. Since this is an early development build, bugs and other issues are expected.
The developers are also asking players to avoid livestreaming the test “whenever possible.” If anyone does stream it, they’re being asked to make clear that the session is a network stability test, not a full preview of the final game.
