ARC Raiders 2.0 Update Adds Pendola Pass, New ARC Enemies, and Free Weekend

Embark Studios has rolled out ARC Raiders’ Frozen Trail update, also known as 2.0, bringing players into Pendola Pass, a new mountain region beyond the Rust Belt. The update is live now, and a free play period is running from October 8-12, with the game also discounted by 50% on all platforms.

According to the official post, the update follows the fall of one of the Emperors, with ARC forces reacting across the Rust Belt. The new Ballistic Gondolas let Raiders reach Pendola Pass, while the Frigate has arrived as another major threat patrolling the area.

Frozen Trail also adds several new ARC enemies. The Bully is built to pin players down with heavy fire, the Skulker leans into ambush tactics, and the Hydra is described as a squad-focused threat tied to the Emperor and Frigate.

On the progression side, players can now establish an Outpost, which allows weapons to be pushed to a fifth tier and unlocks special abilities. The skill tree has been reworked with a new layout, adjusted skills, and additional options. Embark has also added new items, including Tethers and the Grapple Hook, plus two new weapons and a weapon stencil system.

Raider Decks have been replaced with reward passes, and feats have been reorganized as part of the update. A new Collector Set DLC is also available, bundling the Renzo cosmetic set, Dragon’s Breath Weapon Stencil, Bob hairstyle, 2,400 Raider Tokens, and access to the Frozen Trail Premium Reward Pass.

One platform-specific note: on PS5 in Germany, the free weekend carries a €0.25 fee.
