Albion Online adds capture-the-flag banners to Faction Warfare in Realm Divided Part II
Albion Online has rolled out Realm Divided Part II, a smaller update that still makes some meaningful changes to Faction Warfare. The headline addition is Faction Battle Standards, basically physical banners that turn parts of the open world into a capture-the-flag scramble for Faction Points.
According to the patch notes, these Standards show up in the open world as carriable objectives. The idea is simple: fight other factions for control of the banner, build up its value while you hold it, then haul it to its destination to cash in.
The update also reworks Bandit Assault, an event that’s been around for a while but hasn’t always been a must-do for everyone. Sandbox Interactive is shifting it into a two-phase, multi-faction push. First, factions flood red zones to earn Supplies by clearing camps, opening chests, and capturing outposts. After that, the action narrows into two provinces, with everyone fighting over a central fortress and a big chest at its core, with the winning side taking home the loot and Supplies.
Sandbox says this update wraps up the first part of its spring and summer plans. The studio’s roadmap post also mentions a spring content update alongside a visual overhaul and an Xbox launch slated for this spring, followed by two more updates in the summer.
