Aion Classic’s Ignite update adds the Phoenix class and a new endgame zone
Aion Classic just got a sizable February update called Ignite, and it’s live now. The headline addition is the new Phoenix class, alongside a batch of progression and system changes aimed at smoothing out early play and giving endgame players more to chew on.
Gameforge’s official post frames Ignite as a “consolidated” patch, and the big beats are pretty straightforward: a new class, a revamped onboarding flow for new or returning players, and a new open-world zone to push into once you’re geared.
Ignite also leans hard into character building. Gear customization has been expanded, and there are large-scale class skill updates across the board, so even if you’re not rolling Phoenix, your existing characters may feel a bit different after the patch.
If you’ve been waiting for a good time to check in on Aion Classic, this is one of those updates that actually changes what you do moment-to-moment: how you start, where you grind, and how your kit works at endgame. Just expect some re-learning if you’ve been away for a while.
