AION 2 October patch adds Halloween event, server transfers, and new cosmetics

AION 2’s Oct. 13/14 patch is live, bringing a Halloween event, temporary server transfers, new shop cosmetics, and a batch of fixes for classes, graphics, and Abyss content.

According to the official patch notes, the Halloween event runs after Oct. 13 maintenance in PDT regions, or Oct. 14 in CEST, and ends before Nov. 3/4 maintenance depending on region. Players can log in for Trick or Treat attendance rewards, earn daily Halloween Pumpkin Coins, and spend them at event merchant NPCs.

  • Server transfers are open first for Early Access servers, from after Oct. 13 maintenance until before Oct. 20. Launch servers get transfers from after Oct. 20 until before Oct. 27.
  • The Halloween event adds weekly Season Mission tasks tied to Abyss, Transcendence, Expedition, Ascension Trial, Nightmare, Dimensional Invasion, Shugo Festival, logins, gear, and scrolls.
  • Halloween rewards include Special Halloween Chests, candy-key Substance Morphs, candies, cookies, and the Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin.
  • The Conquerors of the Abyss event runs from Oct. 13 until before Oct. 27 PDT, letting level 45+ characters buy Abyss Rift Stones with Kina, capped at seven per character each week.
  • The cash shop now has Monarch of Blood, Midnight Witch, and Midnight Slasher armor sets priced at $29.99, plus Halloween Night weapon skins, Pumpkin Carriage and Little Ghost pets, Spider Wings at $19.99, and several Halloween head and face items around 300 Quna.

The patch also makes some practical changes. Abyss Season Mission rewards now include Abyss Entry Stones, Battlefield standard stats have been adjusted, large Abyss battles should stutter less, and players can now invert the Y-axis or toggle HP bars on and off.

On the bug-fix side, NCSoft says it addressed the max Abyss entry accumulation time, dual-GPU graphics issues, 4K refresh-rate crashes, FSR load times, and Shugo Festival reconnect positioning. Spiritmaster and Sorcerer also got targeted skill fixes, including issues with Ancient Spirit, Fire Wall, Cold Storm, Bittercold Wind, and Ember/Frostbite overwrites.
