Ragnarok Spear of Odin was a mobile MMORPG project by Neocyon, a Korean developer that spent roughly two years on the title before presenting it publicly via YouTube. The stated goal from the team was to translate the feel of the original 2002 Ragnarok Online into a phone-friendly format with familiar progression and systems. Publishing duties were handled by Gravity, a Taiwanese publisher closely associated with the Ragnarok brand. Work on the game began in 2014 and the project was first revealed on October 13, 2016.
