Mir 4 Overview
Mir 4 is a 3D mobile MMORPG (with PC support) that continues the official Legend of Mir lineage, a long-running isometric MMO brand with a major footprint in China and South Korea. What separates Mir 4 from many similar mobile MMOs is its blockchain-focused “play to earn” angle, which connects certain gameplay outputs to a token economy. Through activities such as gathering, crafting, and mining-related progression, players can work toward earning DRACO, a cryptocurrency whose value is positioned as being tied to in-game utility.
From a pure gameplay perspective, Mir 4 is designed around active, skill-based encounters rather than slow tab-targeting. Combat emphasizes chaining abilities and using class tools at the right time, whether you are clearing solo content or tackling group-focused dungeons. The game offers four playable characters built around familiar RPG roles, including a heavy melee sword user, a dual-dagger style rogue, and a spell-focused caster, with each kit centered on its own weapon and ability theme. PvP is also part of the package, reflecting the series’ reputation for open PK-style conflict and player rivalries.
Mir 4 Key Features:
- Blockchain Gaming – Mir 4 is among the earlier blockchain-based play to earn titles available on Steam. Players can accumulate in-game resources that may be converted into DRACO, a token with real-world value.
- Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) – Characters can be turned into NFTs once they reach level 60 and achieve a 100,000 power score. These NFT characters can then be traded through the game’s crypto exchange, effectively enabling buying and selling of characters as assets.
- Fluid Action Combat – fights focus on activating skills in sequence, building combos, and using burst windows to maximize damage output.
- Four Playable Characters – choose from four class archetypes, including options that map to assassin-style, warrior-style, and mage-style play.
- Eastern-Inspired World – explore a setting influenced by historical Eastern aesthetics, including martial arts themes and ornate traditional clothing.
- Legend of Mir IP – built on the legacy of the well-known Legend of Mir 2, updating its look and feel for a contemporary 3D audience.
- PK and PvP – take part in duels and broader player conflict, echoing the open PK traditions associated with earlier entries in the franchise.

Development History / Background:
Mir 4 is both developed and published by WeMade Entertainment, the studio behind the broader Mir brand and also known for projects like Riders of Icarus and Icarus-M. The Mir franchise has historically been a major success in China and South Korea despite its early origins (2001), with reported revenues reaching over $90 million per month at its peak, and even hitting $7 million in a single day at one point. Mir 4’s formal reveal took place on July 28, 2016 at ChinaJoy 2016, where its trailer and direction drew immediate attention. Around the IP, the series was also tied up in a legal dispute involving WeMade and Shanda, the publisher associated with prior releases.
Built in Unreal Engine 4, Mir 4 represents a clear technical step forward for the series, transitioning the franchise away from its classic sprite-based, isometric look into full 3D environments. The game launched in Korea on November 25, 2020. Ahead of the worldwide release, global pre-registration opened on July 29, 2021, followed by the global launch on October 26, 2021.
