Overview

Dofus Touch Overview

Dofus Touch is a free-to-play mobile strategy MMORPG from Ankama Games, available on iOS and Android. Rather than simply shrinking the original client, the game was built with touch input in mind, with controls and menus designed for phones and tablets, plus optimized map downloads that help manage storage. It also avoids a subscription model, but it is important to know it is not linked to the PC version, so you start fresh with separate characters and progression.

At its core, Dofus Touch is about exploring a large world, taking quests, and fighting through a grid-based, turn-based combat system where positioning and ability timing matter as much as raw stats. The adventure revolves around hunting dangerous monsters and bosses, competing with other players, and chasing the famous dragon eggs that define the series. Character choice is a major part of the experience, with fifteen classes that cover different tactics and team roles, from the trap-and-stealth focused Sram and the unpredictable Pandawa to the gadget-oriented Foggernaut. Progression stretches through 200 levels, supported by a wide selection of areas, dungeons, cities, and activities that include both PvE and PvP.

Dofus Touch Key Features:

  • Massive Game World – roam across regions, take quests, craft and trade, join a guild, talk with other players, and generally live in a bustling MMO sandbox.
  • Turn-based Tactics – win fights through smart positioning and coordinated turns, whether playing solo or teaming up to manage the battlefield.
  • Variety of Character Classes – choose from fifteen classes with their own visuals, ability kits, gear priorities, and strategic identity.
  • PvE and PvP Gameplay – form parties for dungeons and tough encounters, or test your builds in duels, small-scale arenas, and larger guild conflicts.
  • Player-Run Economy – use professions and trading to carve out a niche, negotiate with other players, and set up shop for the community.

Platforms: iOS, Android

Release Date: July 17, 2016

Dofus Touch was both developed and published by Ankama Games, a French studio best known for strategy-focused MMORPGs, including Dofus, Dofus Arena, and Wakfu. Over the years, the broader Dofus universe has expanded beyond games into other media, with an animated series, comics, and even a feature film helping cement its popularity.

Released on July 17, 2016, Dofus Touch was positioned as a standalone way to experience Dofus while away from a PC, rather than a companion app or a shared account version. In terms of content, it draws on nine years of material from Dofus, up to the original game’s 2.14 patch (August 2013), and it continues to receive ongoing updates.
