Throne and Liberty’s Western service moves from Amazon to NC on November 10
Throne and Liberty now has a date for its Western service handoff from Amazon Games to NC. The transition maintenance is set to begin on November 10, 2026, with NC taking over direct operation of the MMORPG through its subsidiary FirstSpark Games.
The game will be offline during the move while player data is transferred. That includes characters, progression, items, currency, and account entitlements. Amazon and NC haven’t shared the exact maintenance start time or expected downtime yet, saying those details will come closer to the date.
Some changes start before the service switch. The Auction House will close on October 26 and stay closed until the transition is finished. Any active listings still up when maintenance begins that day will be moved to the NPC Storage Manager, even if that puts a player over the normal storage limit. Pending Lucent from completed sales will be added to player balances.
Also on October 26, Celebration Packs, Character Boosts, and Lucent packs will be removed from Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and the in-game shop. Players keep the Lucent and items they already own. NC plans to share updated shop details after the transfer.
Xbox players have one extra step. The current Xbox app has been renamed Throne and Liberty AGS. After the transition, Xbox users will need to install a new Throne and Liberty app published by NC and accept NC’s terms to continue playing. Their data is still planned to carry over.
Players who don’t want their data transferred to NC must submit an opt-out request before October 30. Opting out means characters, progression, and inventory won’t move over. Anyone who changes their mind later and plays under NC will have to start again.
NC says all regions and realms will remain in place, though the Japan, Oceania region will be renamed Asia, Oceania. Cross-play is staying as it is, and PURPLE launcher players will share the same environment with Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox. Cross-progression will work between Steam and PURPLE, while PlayStation and Xbox progression will remain separate.
