Throne and Liberty’s Frozen Divide: Nix expansion arrives June 25

Amazon Games and NCsoft have officially revealed the next big Throne and Liberty expansion, Frozen Divide: Nix, and it’s set to launch on June 25.

The update adds a new region called Nix, along with a new weapon, fresh co-op dungeons, higher character progression, and tougher gear targets. It also looks like the expansion will push the game’s open-world conflict further, with Amazon and NCsoft framing it as a new phase for PvP and large-scale danger zones.

The headline addition is Nix itself, which is being positioned as the game’s biggest new area so far. Players will also get access to the Gauntlets, a new weapon built around close-range combat. On the PvE side, the expansion includes new co-op dungeons, while progression is being extended to level 60.

That also means a new gear chase. The announcement points to stronger equipment coming with the expansion, which fits with the level cap increase and new endgame path. Beyond that, the developers are teasing a harsher open-world environment, though the early reveal doesn’t spell out every system change yet.

Throne and Liberty is NCsoft’s free-to-play MMORPG, published globally by Amazon Games, with a mix of open-world PvP, instanced group content, and guild-focused play. More detailed breakdowns for Frozen Divide: Nix will likely follow closer to launch, but for now the key date is June 25.
