Throne and Liberty update 3.34.0 adds Stellar Journey, new PvP seasons, and a batch of UI fixes

Throne and Liberty update 3.34.0 is launched yesterday. The big addition is Stellar Journey, a new long-term progression system that gives permanent stat boosts through a resource called Starry Memory.

Starry Memory comes from things like the Adventure Codex, Exploration Codex, and the new Traces of Spacetime activities. Once you get it, it’s used automatically and permanently boosts that character’s stats. Traces of Spacetime also adds Rift Rebellions and Relic Fishing Locations across regions, with daily rotating objectives unlocking after players hit 100% completion in that section.

The patch also starts a new round of PvP content. Arena Season 6 is live as ranked-only matchmaking, while Battlegrounds Season 1 begins as a ranked mode with maps chosen at random between Giant’s Cityscape and Floating Elf Garden. Ranking-based rewards have been added, including new Battlegrounds shop items and craftable trophies tied to seasonal placement.

One notable PvP change affects open conflict timing. PvP combat for Dynamic Events, Field Bosses, Archbosses, and the Tax Delivery Event now only happens during the actual “In Progress” phase, instead of being active before and after the event window. That should cut down on players getting dragged into PvP just because an event is about to start nearby.

Outside of progression and PvP, a lot of this update is quality-of-life work. The Adventure and Exploration Codex menus have been reorganized to make active and completed entries easier to track, Amitoi Expeditions now have an auto-registration option, and older Adventure Coin currencies are being folded into Adventure Coin: Fortitude.

There’s also a long list of fixes. Some Epic weapon skill effects were corrected, a few co-op dungeon mechanics were adjusted, and NCSoft fixed a launch issue that could leave the game stuck on the logo screen for some NVIDIA GTX 10-series and 900-series cards. Party matchmaking rejection penalties have also been increased for repeated declines.

Smaller additions include a new side story codex quest, “Trouble at the Liberta Caravan,” plus more UI cleanup across Boss Gates, housing, crafting, and help menus. A couple of known issues remain, including oversized Honor Statues in some cases and delayed placement of Arena and Battlegrounds statues until a future update.
