The First Descendant 1.4.7 nerfs Gley’s Massacre and starts Halloween events
The First Descendant patch 1.4.7 is live on Steam, Xbox, and PS5 as of October 29 at 12:00 a.m. PDT. Nexon says players should reconnect to pick up the update.
The biggest gameplay change is aimed at Gley and Ultimate Gley. Massacre no longer gets its 20% Fire Rate Increase, and the same Fire Rate Increase has also been removed from the Super Senses Transcendent Module’s Slaughter effect. The stated reason is that Massacre could stack too strongly with Transcendent Weapons, pushing damage beyond the intended range.
- New Halloween shop items are available, including the Halloween Bundle, C.R.E.A.T.U.R.E. Bundle, Eerie Garden Diorama Bundle, themed Dream Rascal sets, injury camouflage outfits, emotes, lounge items, and cosmetics.
- The Spreading Breach event runs from after the October 29 patch until November 16 at 10:59 p.m. PST. Players can encounter Mutated Dimensional Stones in selected activities and open them with Dimensional Stabilization Keys.
- The Eerie Dice Run event is also live through November 16, with rewards tied to Dice Run completions, including the Eerie Night UI Theme and Name Card.
- Starting after the November 5 patch, dismantling Ancestors Modules can earn extra Ancestors Module Fragments, which can be exchanged through BB-On in Albion.
- Ancestors Module readjustment gets two limited bonuses in November: one free readjustment per day and a 50% weekend discount on Gold, Kuiper Shards, and Superconductive Cooling Units.
The patch also adds Transcendent Weapon Loot to Bounty Operation rewards and Void Erosion Purge: Normal rewards. Gold and Kuiper Shard gain boosts now apply to daily and weekly content rewards too, which should make those boosters a bit more useful for regular checklist play.
There are a few smaller quality-of-life changes as well. Some item stack limits have been raised, including Vulgus Bio Data Chips to 3,000, while Quantum Crystal and Nano Compound now cap at 999,999,999. The update also adjusts bomb placements in Sigma Sector: High-risk and Isolated Desert: Landing Zone Indigo.
Bug fixes cover Descendant tooltips, Ultimate Gley vehicle mounting while using Frenzied with Explosive Life, hit detection on Hypernova and Crime and Punishment, several Onslaught issues, Trials problems, map behavior, collectibles counts, and party menu display quirks.
