SWTOR Update 7.9.1c Brings Back Hidden Chain Invasions on September 22

Star Wars: The Old Republic is getting a small but notable patch on September 22, with Game Update 7.9.1c set to bring Hidden Chain Invasions back into rotation.

Servers will go offline at 7:00am CT, or 12:00pm UTC, for maintenance. Broadsword says downtime is expected to last around three hours.

The return of Hidden Chain Invasions is the main item here, though there’s one important catch. The activity will only be back temporarily, since it’s set to become inactive again when SWTOR 8.0 launches due to the events of Game Update 7.9, Legacy Reborn.

The patch also fixes a Galactic Seasons issue where clicking the Galaxy Map for the “Sweeping Ruhnuk and Kessan’s Landing” objective didn’t open the map properly. On the vendor side, Amity’s weapon “Pummeled Peace” and Fen Zeil’s Cybernetic Customization in blue will be available from the Seasons vendor after the update.

There’s also a visual fix for some cybernetics and facial hair that were showing up with an unnatural metallic or overly reflective look.
