Star Citizen’s September Report Highlights Bug Fixes, New Contracts, and More Ships in Development

Cloud Imperium Games’ September monthly report for Star Citizen is mostly about cleanup work and ship production. The studio spent the month tackling a long list of bugs across vehicles, stations, inventory, transit, respawns, and freight elevators, while also pushing several spacecraft through different stages of development.

On the bug-fixing side, the report calls out work on vehicle refueling, instancing barriers, respawning, loose item redeeming, personal inventory, trams, star map route blocking at stations, and freight elevators. In other words, a lot of the usual friction points players run into while trying to simply move around, haul cargo, or get back into the game after dying.

Ship work was another major focus. CIG says 10 unannounced vehicles moved through various development milestones in September, ranging from concept work to greybox and whitebox stages. The Anvil Liberator, RSI Constellation Mk IV gold standard pass, and RSI Galaxy also saw progress.

The report also mentions 97 new contracts planned for a future patch, along with narrative work on multiple mission packs and a new story mission. Backend tools, rendering, and volumetric clouds received attention too, though the report doesn’t attach release dates to those pieces.

As usual with Star Citizen’s monthly reports, this is more of a development snapshot than a player-facing patch rundown. The practical takeaway is simple: September was heavy on bug fixing, mission prep, and ship pipeline work, with more content being readied for later updates.
