RuneScape’s combat styles beta is in its “final run,” with a launch targeted for next week
Jagex says its long-running Combat Styles Improvements beta for RuneScape is in its “final run,” and the studio expects the updated combat work to be ready to ship next week. That timing comes from this week’s patch-week post, which frames the current build as the last stretch of tuning before it goes live.
According to the official post, the latest beta changes are mostly number tweaks across multiple attacks and abilities, plus some animation updates and new tutorial UI elements. The rest of the weekly patch notes lean heavily on bug fixes.
Jagex also spent last week continuing its high-level Thieving rebalance, specifically around pickpocketing. The studio says a dev blog covering upcoming changes to the Grand Exchange is due later this week, though it didn’t share specifics yet.
Over in Old School RuneScape, the game has started a 25th anniversary event built around “25 mementos.” Players can earn the collectibles by doing celebratory quests, with rewards including a helmet, a skeleton tabard, and (of course) more hats.
