RuneScape adds a Dungeoneering high score challenge after last week’s revamp
RuneScape players have a new Dungeoneering event to jump into this week. Following last week’s overhaul of the skill, Jagex has launched a high score challenge built around racing through Daemonheim for the best performance.
The timing makes sense. The recent Dungeoneering revamp changed how the activity works, so this is basically Jagex giving players a reason to test the new version in a more competitive format. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to head back into the dungeon, this is it.
The announcement doesn’t leave much room for confusion: this one is about leaderboard placement. Players can take part now and try to climb the rankings, which is a pretty direct follow-up to the update that just went live last week.
Dungeoneering has long been RuneScape’s dungeon-crawling skill, built around exploring floors, solving puzzles, and fighting through randomized rooms in Daemonheim. Turning that into a score-based challenge is a natural fit, especially after a mechanical refresh.
Jagex hasn’t framed this as some permanent reinvention of the game, just a new challenge tied to the updated Dungeoneering experience. So for now, the main takeaway is simple: the revamp is live, and there’s now a competitive high score event running on top of it.
