Project: Gorgon spins up a fourth server after events push capacity

Project: Gorgon has added a fourth server, Miraverre, after player traffic and community events started overwhelming the game’s existing worlds. Miraverre went live last night, and the devs are recommending that brand-new players roll there for the smoothest start.

The new server comes right on the heels of last week’s third server, Strekios, which was added to help relieve crowding. The team had also put restrictions on the second server, Dreva, as part of the same effort.

What seems to have really stress-tested things was the game’s recurring community events, especially the weekly, player-run Poetry Jam. It’s basically a big social meetup where people group up, chat, and help each other out with buffs and items. Those gatherings have been running for years, but with the game now fully launched, the latest jam reportedly drew enough people to push servers to the edge.

Players have been swapping stories about the jam and the crowding on Reddit, including attempts to split across different bases to avoid a crash.

Project: Gorgon officially launched out of Early Access on January 28, and the spike has been noticeable. SteamDB’s public charts have shown peaks above 3,400 players recently, with thousands in-game at the time the original report was written.

For now, Miraverre’s the main answer: more room, fewer login headaches, and hopefully less risk of community events turning into an accidental stress test.
