Project Gorgon Adds Mastery Sparks Gear Upgrades and More Level 100 Statehelm Content

Project Gorgon has a new content patch out now, adding a weapon and gear upgrade system for higher-level players alongside more Statehelm content. The main addition is Mastery Sparks, a progression system meant for gear found from monsters and bosses above level 50.

Mastery Sparks can drop through regular play, including loot and dungeon rewards. Players slot them into eligible high-level gear, spend Combat Wisdom, and choose an upgrade type. The final buff is random, so there’s still some roll-of-the-dice MMO business in there. Some Sparks can also be transferred when players move on to other items.

The patch also expands Statehelm with a redesigned Statehelm Crypt path beyond its locked door, leading into a new six-player level 100 dungeon area. Statehelm Sewer, also aimed at level 100 players, has been reworked as well. It’s still intended for one or two players, but now includes group bosses that should push players toward small pickup groups.

Other additions include more Statehelm City content, a new Gazluk questline from Aralorn, the new Shieldwright skill, and major engine changes. The full details are available in the Steam patch notes.

Project Gorgon, the sandbox MMORPG from Elder Game, left Early Access earlier this year with its 1.0 launch on Steam.
