Pax Dei outlines “meaning over size” plan, with building bonuses and deeper clan permissions

Mainframe Industries has shared a new look at what it’s focusing on next for Pax Dei, and the theme is pretty clear: tighten up the game’s core systems instead of racing to add more stuff. The studio says this year’s work is aimed at making the sandbox MMO feel more “meaningful,” with a big emphasis on building, social tools, and the permissions that keep your clan’s stuff safe.

In the developer blog, the team calls out building as a major pillar, and it’s not just about placing nicer walls. One of the more concrete ideas on the table is adding “comfort” and “rest” systems, which would reward players for setting up proper shelter. The example given is bonuses tied to structures, including crafting-related perks.

Clans and property management are also getting attention. Mainframe says it’s working toward more granular permissions, including customizable membership tiers with specific roles, plus plot and item access controls. There’s also mention of “Trusted Friends” with elevated rights, along with clearer presets and stricter deletion rules meant to reduce the risk of someone nuking progress by accident (or on purpose).

As for timing, the studio points to Verse 6 as the update where these in-progress features are expected to land. Before that, Verse 5 is still on the way with Master Crafting, UI updates, and other improvements the team has discussed previously.

On the flip side, a few previously talked-about features are being pushed back while the basics get rebuilt. Farming and fishing, mounts, and recycling were all name-checked as delayed for now.
