Pantheon talks trading and market progress, plus more combat tuning
Visionary Realms has shared a small progress report on Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, touching on where its trading tools are at and what’s next for combat tweaks. The update is light on specifics, but it does confirm the team is actively building out mail and market functionality while continuing to adjust underlying combat math.
On the trading side, the studio says the mail and market systems are now deep in development. Documentation for how everything should work is in place, and backend work has started. The first goal is straightforward: get the basics working at scale, so players can browse listings and buy and sell items in high volumes before the team starts layering on extra features.
Combat-wise, Visionary Realms says it’s been working through formulas that govern common interactions. Those numbers matter across the game since they ripple through levels and skill systems. With some of that groundwork in place, the team is also looking at smaller adjustments like having skills feed more directly into combat interactions, including things like accuracy and defense.
There’s also a broader class pass underway, with the studio looking at how to better integrate its previously discussed Mastery system into each class kit. Right now, the focus is on tank classes first, since they’re the front line and tend to set expectations for how the rest of group combat plays out.
More details are in the developer blog, though this one’s more of a temperature check than a full breakdown.
