Pantheon adds ability loadouts on March 4 ahead of its spring combat update

Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is finally getting ability loadouts, with the patch now scheduled to land March 4. Visionary Realms says the feature is meant to ease the pain of the game’s limited action bar, letting players set up different skill configurations for different situations.

According to the dev diary, every character will have four loadout slots, and you’ll be able to swap between them outside of combat. There are a couple of guardrails: you can’t change loadouts while you’re in combat, and swapping triggers a short cooldown on the abilities in the newly selected loadout.

The idea, as the studio frames it, is to make loadouts a pre-fight planning tool, not something you’re constantly flipping mid-encounter to squeeze out advantages.

This loadouts patch is also arriving ahead of the game’s Spring 2026 Combat and Progression Update (which Visionary Realms has previously outlined separately). One related change is coming later with that bigger update: a buff revamp, including buffs that can be applied before combat and that won’t fall off when you swap hotbars.

The patch was originally supposed to go out last week, but Visionary Realms pushed it back after spotting what it called a potentially game-breaking bug. Assuming all goes well, March 4 is the new target.
