Palworld Leaves Early Access on July 10
Palworld is finally getting its 1.0 release on July 10. Pocketpair announced the date during Summer Game Fest with a new cinematic trailer, giving the monster-catching survival game a firm exit from Early Access.
The trailer didn’t lay out a full feature list for launch, so there’s still a lot we don’t know about what 1.0 adds. One thing it did show, at least, was a sword-fish Pal, which is about as Palworld as it gets.
Pocketpair also told players on the game’s official Discord that existing saves won’t need to be wiped for the 1.0 version. That said, the studio is recommending a fresh character because of the number of mechanical changes, overhauls, and new content coming with the launch build.
Palworld first hit Early Access as a viral mix of survival crafting, base building, co-op, and creature collecting. It quickly moved past the initial “Pokémon with guns” label, selling millions of copies in its first week and pulling in a huge Steam audience.
Since then, Pocketpair has added new content, quality-of-life updates, PvP experiments, mod support, and crossover content with other indie games. The 1.0 launch should mark the biggest reset point yet for returning players, even if they can technically keep their old saves.
