Palia’s Winter’s Wonder update brings back Luna New Year, adds a new Lunar Path and the Roli
Palia’s latest update, “Winter’s Wonder: Riffrocin’ New Year,” is now live, bringing the Luna New Year event back to the Maji Market along with a new Lunar Path, a new Ranching animal, and a community cooking event scheduled for early February. Palia has been averaging about 10,000 concurrent players on Steam lately, which makes it one of the more popular free to play titles on the platform.
Luna New Year refreshes the market with returning activities and some new rewards and decor to collect, including items like the Year of the Riffroc Poster and Golden Riffroc Plush. The update also adds new customization options, including new tints.
One of the bigger gameplay tweaks is to Luna New Year Hot Pot. Discarded cards now get shuffled back in so matches can keep going, but a game will end if nobody completes three sets within 10 minutes. The patch notes frame this as a seasonal test aimed at keeping matches fairer, after some players settled into a single “optimal” way to play and pressured others to follow it.
There’s also a new Luna New Year bundle available via the Bulletin Board. Completing it earns a voucher for the Roli, the newest Ranching animal. Separately, the premium shop has new items, including a Roli pet, Year of the Riffroc-themed cosmetics (like a glider and toolskin), and the Mountaineer outfit collection.
On the progression side, the new Lunar Path is “Path of the Shred,” with skater-themed rewards across 14 free and premium levels. This track is not time-gated in a way that locks you out, so you can work through it at your own pace.
Next up, Reth’s Soup-erb Bowl runs February 6 to 18, with players gathering ingredients and contributing to a community soup-cooking push to unlock milestone rewards for everyone.
Singularity 6 also adjusted the Water Tower so it’s easier to claim from the Player Ranch, and the claim includes both the tower and a one-time recipe to craft more. More details are in the patch notes.
