Once Human’s Isles of Abyss Expansion Launches Free on October 22

Once Human is heading out to sea next month. Starry Studio says Isles of Abyss, the game’s free ocean expansion, launches globally on October 22, 2026, or October 21 PT, across PC, mobile, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The update will support cross-play and cross-progression across all listed platforms. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will also have access when the expansion goes live.

Isles of Abyss adds naval survival to Once Human’s post-apocalyptic sandbox, with players building and upgrading ships that can function as mobile bases, workshops, and weapons platforms. The expansion also introduces five sea regions, island exploration, underwater resource gathering, and new ocean-based threats tied to “The Sunken Lord,” an ancient entity lurking beneath the water.

  • Custom ships range from smaller vessels to large mobile sea fortresses.
