Monsters & Memories Patch Restores Missing Crates and Makes Big Server-Side Changes

Monsters & Memories has rolled out patch 0.30.3.2, also listed as Module 1 Patch 13, for the indie throwback MMORPG’s paid early access build. The October 19 update is mainly a stability and cleanup patch, with Niche Worlds Cult calling out “heavy optimizations” on the server side, missing crate restorations for houses, inn rooms, and stalls, and refunds for players who were overcharged for scrolls during the first week of early access.

The studio also says Deep Gnome Bard is now being tested internally and is “coming soon,” though there’s no date attached yet. The team warned that if the new server work causes bugs or regressions, it may temporarily roll the game back to version 0.30.2.6, which would require players to redownload the client.

  • Cleric HP buffs have been adjusted so their free heal no longer scales with Wisdom. The heal now matches the max HP increase, and repeated refreshes won’t keep granting extra free healing.
  • Archer, Rogue, Ranger, Shadow Knight, Inquisitor, Monk, Bard, and Beastmaster all received fixes or small balance changes, including stealth/ambush messaging, trap schematic level requirements, Ranger Recuperate changes, and Beastmaster starter companion scrolls.
  • PvP /who has been changed again so it no longer shows current zone player counts. The patch also adjusts several crowd control durations and PvP free-for-all volumes.
  • NPC loot has been broadened, with more creatures and humanoids now carrying cash loot or sellable body parts.
  • Tradeskills and harvesting got several practical fixes, including richer nodes, more herb spawns, Woodworking now capping at 300 regardless of level, and better recipe failure handling.
  • Housing now enforces account-wide ownership limits: one house, one inn room, one market stall, and one guild house if the player is a guild leader, up to four properties total.
  • The UI update touches guild permissions, tracking search and sorting, tab targeting options, tell windows, mini inventory, buff display colors, and party member name visibility.

There’s a long list of zone, animation, audio, quest, merchant, banking, and itemization fixes as well. Underdocks and Ail’Vorith in particular get more vendors, props, signage, and environment fixes, while The Deep zones now have dedicated music themes for merchants, bankers, and trainers.

Monsters & Memories entered paid early access on October 1, so this patch is still very much part of the game’s early shakedown period. The most immediate player-facing changes are probably the crate restoration, scroll refunds in banks, class balance fixes, and smoother server behavior if the optimizations hold up.
